Hi Everyone Welcome back to another video and hike, and this one was a special one. This was my Wainwright Completion walk. A journey that started over 5 years ago now in April 2021. With the world in the middle of a pandemic, and not many options open to what we could do, walking in the mountains was one of them. So with my Dad being a very keen walker, he asked me did I want to head up to the Lake District and go for a walk in the hills. Off we headed and not before long we arrived in the car park outside the Kirkstone Pass in. Out of the car, I stood looking up at the imposing site of the east side of Red Screes. "That's where we are going, up there" as he pointed to the top. "Up there" I said with a look of astonishment and fear!!! But 'up there' we went, and when we got to the top, and I saw the view, I was instantly hooked. This is my new hobby I thought. And, without even realising it I had just completed my first Wainwright, and my journey had started. A journey that would take me all around the Lake District National Park, and a journey that would mean I would beat a whole new bunch of best friends. As I mention in the video, below are the links to Dave, Steven's, Andy's, Mossy's and Paul's channel's......all friends who I have met through You tube. So please go and check out there videos. Dave is currently on his journey to complete all the Lake District's classified hills. Steven, just a couple of weeks ago now summited Mount Kilamanjaro in Tanzania, Andy is well on his way to completing all 282 Munro's, and Mossy, well he's not far from completing his own Wainwright journey. If wonderful photo's of the Lake District is your bag, then Paul is you person. ‪@daveostlemountainman‬ ‪@bigandythemunroeater9884‬ ‪@outofayrshire143‬ ‪@Walkingwildcampinguk‬ ‪@capturinglakeland‬ Also joining me on this walk was Mary 7 Derek.
