When I first went into service, I was handed a duster and a set of rules, and it took me years to see that the rules mattered more. In the big houses I ran, in England and later in America, the families had beautiful things that lasted far longer than anyone else’s. That wasn’t down to money. It was down to a handful of small habits that almost nobody outside those houses was ever shown. In this video I’m passing eleven of them on to you.
