“Us pahad ke us paar kya hai?” What lies beyond that pass? For 80 students of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, a trek to Hampta Pass begins as an escape from classrooms, routines, and everyday life. For one student, however, the journey slowly becomes something more. What begins like a simple college travel vlog gradually turns into a journey through the mountains, friendships, laughter, exhaustion, silence, and moments of solitude. Somewhere between the trails and the peaks, the question changes. Maybe what lies beyond the pass isn't just another mountain. Maybe it is love. Maybe it is friendship. Maybe it is a part of ourselves that we rarely get to meet. And perhaps, after all the noise fades away, it is peace. As the trek moves forward, the mountains become more than a destination. They become a space to pause, to feel, to remember, and to understand why we keep moving forward in the first place. But when the journey finally comes to an end, another realization awaits. There may be something even more powerful than love, friendship, self-discovery, or peace. Home. Not merely a place, but the people and the space where we don't have to become anything else. Where we can laugh without pretending. Where we can be vulnerable without fear. Where we don't have to search for ourselves. Where we can simply be ourselves. Beyond The Pass is not just a film about climbing a mountain. It is a story about what we find while trying to reach the other side. And perhaps, after travelling so far to find something beyond the mountains, we realize that what we were looking for was waiting for us all along.
