This Was Supposed to Be a Dress...

For Shirtwaist September, I set out to make a shirtwaist dress that I had envisioned in my head—and let’s just say… reality had other plans. From fit issues and construction problems to moments where I seriously questioned my life choices, this project did NOT turn out the way I wanted it to. But that’s sewing! Not every project is a win, and sometimes the biggest lessons come from the dresses that go completely sideways.
