In this video, we review the Marshall 1959BJA Billie Joe Armstrong Signature, a limited-edition, UK-handwired 100-watt valve amplifier inspired by the raw, explosive punk-rock tones of Green Day's Dookie era. Based on the legendary Marshall 1959 platform, the 1959BJA features cascaded gain stages, a master volume, increased saturation and an enhanced low-mid response designed to deliver more body, aggression and punch than a traditional Plexi-style circuit. Built at Marshall's Bletchley factory in the UK, the 1959BJA features four EL34 power valves, ECC83 preamp valves, dedicated gain and master volume controls, and a distinctive blue finish inspired by Billie Joe Armstrong's first guitar, Blue. Complete with custom Dookie branding and Billie Joe's signature, this is an amplifier with a serious connection to one of punk rock's most influential guitar sounds.
