BAANI - Deepavali Series I Niranjan Krishna

Baani class was an incredible experience where we could learn some rare, yet magnum opus compositions of great composers. We were also taught techniques in rendering tanam and pallavis covering multiple thalams and nadais. While teaching the composition, Kailasapathe in Kalyani, Guru Sri Vijay Siva also taught how to handle gamakams at various swarasthanams that would exhibit the aesthetics in complete sense, when sung appropriately. Niranjan Krishna started learning Carnatic Music at the age of 8. He started his formal training under Smt Poomagal Devanathan and continued his lessons from Prof.K.Sivaramakrishnan, a senior vidwan and renowned teacher from Coimbatore, for about 12 years. He has been continuing his advanced lessons from Sri.N.Vijay Siva since 2012. He has performed at sabhas in Chennai including Naada Inbam, Kapali Fine Arts, and Vipanchee trust. He was selected for performing at Music Academy for Spirit of Youth festival during the year 2014. He has participated and won prizes from music competitions including at Rasika Ranjana Sabha , Trichy and Rajalakshmi Fine Arts, Coimbatore.He has the blessing to continue providing vocal accompaniment to his guru, Sri.N.Vijay Siva at various sabhas in Chennai and USA . He is currently a software professional in California who is also deeply passionate in carnatic music.
