Sightseeing Around Helsinki - Helsinki, Finland 2001 07 13

Please help me by clicking on the "subscribe" button and letting the video play completely. Thank you very much! We'll visit many places in Helsinki, Finland in this presentation. We start out along one of the main streets in Helsinki, Mannerheimintie, and a small figure in a window along the street. Then we see the Helsinki Sanomat Newspaper building, which is very modern in its design. Next is the Olympic Stadium from the 1952 Olympics, and Lake Toolonlahti which is near the stadium. After, we see the main train station downtown, and the Finnish National Theater to its side (with the statue of a man in front of it). We then take a look inside the train station. Then we go the impressive Senate building with its white columns and green dome. From there we take a short walk to the the harbor where we see the Viking Line and Silja Line overnight ferries which go to Sweden and other destinations. And finally, we take a walk along the Esplanadi.
