"The Enchanted Forest" 1930 In Technicolor - A Tiffany Color Symphony - Early Trick Photography

"The Enchanted Forest" 1930 In Technicolor A Tiffany Color Symphony - Synchronized This is a 1930 one reel musical short film in Technicolor produced by Colorart Pictures and released by Tiffany-Stahl Productions as part of the "Tiffany Color Symphonies" series. This print was turning red in so I had to color grade each scene to bring out the green record. (This was the print in the worst condition of the three Tiffany Color Symphony shorts preserved at the Library Of Congress). In early color film, such as early Technicolor, the green/blue record tends to deteriorate quicker than the red/orange record. This may be the first color sound film to feature trick photography as we see the little forest people (called gnomes in the dialogue script) together in the same frame with the girl who ran away from home. Again the Tiffany-Tone (Vitaphone type) disc recording is lost or hiding so I added music and used the dialogue script to create intertitles of all the dialogue. There is no information I could find about what music was originally in this film so I simply chose musical themes that seemed suitable to the action from Vitaphone discs for other films.
