Breaking Light is named for that threshold: the moment darkness stops being the whole story. Mana Mind builds toward it on purpose. The Paris DJ and producer works in immersive, relentless, mental techno — sets constructed as an ascent, step by step, moving between light and darkness, tension and euphoria, until they break into a climax. She was reborn on a dancefloor, at Concrete in 2016, and has spent the years since turning that experience into a method: not tracks to pick from, but a passage to travel through. The six tracks here carry the same arc in miniature. Bleep Trance Induced and Spring The Chords reach for the hypnotic; Voices in the Dark and Dream Of A Solo hold the shadow; In My Brightness names the other end of the journey. It is a record about crossing, not arriving — techno that treats the floor as somewhere to lose yourself before the light gets in. Her debut EP landed on Modern Minimal in January 2026, picking up support from Ben Sims, Nastia, Takaaki Itoh and Electric Rescue. Breaking Light is the next step, and it lands where the last one pointed: Mana Mind played Skryptöm’s night at Rex Club in May, and catalogue number 117 is where she joins the label for good.
