فیصلؔ تُو کیا بننے نکلا؟ *FAISAL — TU KIYA BANNAY NIKLA?* *An Original Urdu Sufi Qawwali* Poetry:** Faisal Shah Music: AI-Assisted Sufi Qawwali Genre: Classical Sufi Qawwali | Urdu Poetry Urdu Lyrics & English Translation *تُو کیا بننے نکلا؟* What did you set out to become? *بندہ تھا، بندہ ہی تھا* You were human, merely human. *پھر خدا کیوں بننے نکلا؟* Then why did you set out to become God? --- *وہ اپنے عیبوں سے غافل* He remained blind to his own flaws. *دل میں پلتا رہا غرور* While arrogance continued to grow within his heart. *خود رحمتوں کا سوالی تھا* He himself was a seeker of mercy. *جہاں کا پارسا بننے نکلا* Yet he set out to become the world's righteous judge. --- *وہ اپنی خطا کا عذر تراشتا* He invented excuses for his own mistakes. *غیروں پہ دھرتا قصور* Yet placed the blame upon others. *خود بخششوں کا طلبگار تھا* He himself longed for forgiveness. *خلق کا خدا بننے نکلا* Yet he set out to become God over others. --- *وہ سجدوں میں عمر گزارتا* He spent his lifetime in prostration. *دل کو نہ آیا شعور* Yet wisdom never awakened within his heart. *جو اپنی نیت نہ جان سکا* The one who could not understand his own intentions. *وہ دین کا پیشوا بننے نکلا* Set out to become a leader of faith. --- *وہ عہد شکن، وفا کا داعی* A breaker of promises, yet a preacher of loyalty. *دل میں عجب سا غرور* With a strange arrogance dwelling in his heart. *جو اپنے عہد کا ہو نہ سکا* The one who could not remain true to his own promise. *وہ عشق میں باوفا بننے نکلا* Set out to be the faithful one in love. --- *وہ صدق سے آنکھیں چراتا* He turned his eyes away from truthfulness. *ضمیر سے ہوتا گیا دور* And drifted further away from his conscience. *جو اپنے سچ سے منہ موڑ گیا* The one who turned away from his own truth. *وہ حق کی صدا بننے نکلا* Set out to become the voice of truth. --- *وہ پیاسے کو قطرہ نہ دیتا* He would not offer even a drop to the thirsty. *دل میں سمندر کا سرور* Yet carried the pride of an ocean within his heart. *جو ایک پیاس نہ بجھا سکا* The one who could not quench a single thirst. *وہ خلق کا آسرا بننے نکلا* Set out to become a refuge for humanity. --- *وہ رب سے راز پوچھتا رہا* He kept asking God to reveal His mysteries. *خود سے رہا کوسوں دور* Yet remained miles away from understanding himself. *جو اپنی ذات سے ناواقف تھا* The one who did not even know his own self. *وہ رازِ حق آشنا بننے نکلا* Set out to become a knower of divine truth. --- *وہ توبہ کو سودا سمجھتا* He treated repentance as a transaction. *ثواب کا چڑھا فتور* Obsessed with accumulating spiritual rewards. *جو نیکی کا بھی حساب رکھے* The one who kept account of even his good deeds. *وہ دین کا پیشوا بننے نکلا* Set out to become a leader of faith. --- مقطع | Final Verse *نہ خود کو جانا* He never came to know himself. *نہ رب کو پہچانا* Nor did he truly recognize his Lord. *دل میں خدائی کا غرور* Yet his heart was filled with the arrogance of divinity. *عجب تماشا ہے، فیصلؔ اُس کا* What a strange spectacle he presents, Faisal. *وہ بندہ ہو کر* Though he was merely human. *خدا بننے نکلا* He set out to become God. --- About This Qawwali Tu Kiya Bannay Nikla? is an original philosophical Urdu Sufi Qawwali exploring human arrogance, hypocrisy, forgiveness, self-awareness, and the illusion of moral superiority.
