Triumphant Edo Queens Receive N50m Reward from Okpebholo

Edo Queens have received a N50 million reward from Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, following their victory over Ghanaian side, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, in the 2026 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League. The team played a 2-2 draw in regulation time before winning 4-1 on penalties. Governor Okpebholo commended the players, coaches and technical crew for their resilience and determination. Chairman of the Edo Sports Commission, Amadin Enabulele, said the team had made Edo proud by winning both the NWFL and WAFU-B titles in the same season.
