Hi everyone, welcome to my channel! 🇳🇿 In this video, we are talking about something a lot of people consider when thinking about moving to New Zealand work-life balance. I am breaking down working in New Zealand point by point and sharing some of the things I have experienced and observed about the New Zealand work culture, including working hours, employee benefits, annual leave, sick leave, overtime and how personal and family time is generally respected in the workplace whether you’re single, have a family, or are thinking about moving to New Zealand. New Zealand is often known for having a good work-life balance, but what does that actually look like when you are living and working here? Is it really possible to have a career, earn a living and still have time for yourself, your family, hobbies and the things you enjoy? Or is there more to the story? I am sharing my honest perspective on what working life in New Zealand can be like and why personal time and family commitments are generally respected in the workplace. One of the things I love about living in Auckland is that you don’t necessarily have to travel far to escape the city. Even a short drive can take you to a beautiful regional park, reserve, beach or nature spot where you can go for a walk, hike, picnic or simply switch off for a while. But there’s also a catch. If you’re thinking about moving to New Zealand mainly because you expect a much higher salary, higher income or better career opportunities, the reality might be different from what you expect especially with the current job market and cost of living. And if you are coming to New Zealand from a country like India, there can be another big adjustment that people don’t always talk about. In New Zealand, you may have to do a lot more of the everyday household work yourself cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, picking up the kids and managing all those little responsibilities that take up time outside of work. So even when you technically have a good work-life balance, it can sometimes feel very different depending on the lifestyle you are used to. In this video, I am breaking it down point by point and talking about both the pros and cons of working and living in New Zealand, so you can get a more realistic idea of what life here can actually be like. So, if you are thinking about moving to New Zealand, already working here, or simply curious about what everyday life in New Zealand is like, this video is for you. And at the end, I want to know: If you had the choice, would you still move to New Zealand for the lifestyle and work-life balance? 🇳🇿 Let me know in the comments! 👇Don’t forget to like the video and subscribe my channel for more New Zealand Life videos.
