Diary Entry – October 4 Today, I’m sharing a little glimpse of my lovely short trip to Dresden. In this video, you’ll get to see the beautiful Elbe meadows, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that was recognized in 2004. I love seeing how much people enjoy and make use of this beautiful natural space. There are so many runners, cyclists, walkers and even rollerbladers enjoying the outdoors. Originally, I had planned to show you a different spot in Saxon Switzerland, but unfortunately, things didn’t quite work out due to some organizational issues. I actually fell in love with Dresden this weekend. It happens to me quite often when I visit a new city. I start imagining what it would be like to live there. What kind of job would I have? Which neighborhood would I choose? What would my afternoons and weekends look like? Does that ever happen to you, too? What I particularly loved about Dresden was how much greenery there is and how welcoming and cozy the city feels. It doesn’t have that anonymous big-city feeling. And Dresden’s Old Town is absolutely gorgeous, too. You should definitely visit it if you ever get the chance.
