For years, we’ve driven straight past Latrobe on the way to somewhere else… but this time, we stopped. And we’re glad we did. This small Tasmanian town surprised us with its history, character, and unexpected experiences — from spotting platypus along the Mersey River to stepping back in time at the Axeman’s Hall of Fame. We met locals, explored hidden corners, and discovered places we never knew existed — including one of the quirkiest shops you’ll ever walk through.
