Pocket Ballads: Infinite Distance | Satoru Gojo |Jujutsu Kaisen 「 Lyrics 」

This song is told from the perspective of someone who’s strong enough to stop almost anything — but that strength comes with a cost. The more powerful he becomes, the farther away he has to stand. Not because he wants distance, but because closeness would put everyone else in danger. You’ll hear jokes, confidence, and calm on the surface. That’s the mask. Underneath it is someone constantly measuring how much of himself he’s allowed to show before something breaks. The “infinite distance” isn’t just space — it’s emotional. It’s the gap between protecting people and being able to live beside them. Between choosing to be the shield and accepting that shields don’t get held. As the song moves on, you’ll hear different voices challenge that choice: a friend who took another path, students who still believe in him, and a world that fears what it depends on. None of them are completely right. None of them are completely wrong. At its core, this song is about sacrifice that doesn’t ask to be understood.
