The Dead Men Of Osowiec

August 6th, 1915. German forces unleashed a chlorine and bromine gas attack on the Russian garrison at Osowiec Fortress. What came back through the mist was not what they expected. Blinded, bleeding, dying; the Russian soldiers charged anyway. The Germans broke and ran. This is their side of the story. History called it The Attack of the Dead Men. This song asks what it felt like to be the ones who ran.
