Killer Nephew Has No Idea Police Already Found His Aunt's Body

On the morning of Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Crystal Garney was at home on East 14th Street in Ashtabula, Ohio. By Friday, nobody had heard from her. Her phone went straight to voicemail. Her van was still parked outside. Her mother went to the police and reported her missing. Crystal was 46. She had two children. She coached baseball, she loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, and her favorite color was purple. Daniel Taylor, 32, had been living in her house for two weeks. He called her his aunt. He told police she stuck her head into his room around noon on Wednesday, said she was heading out, and never came back. That made him the last person to see her. This is the full breakdown of his interview with Ashtabula detectives. He has an answer for every question – and detectives have already been upstairs in Crystal's bedroom.
