Sometimes the best travel stories aren't about the food — they're about the people you meet. ❤️🇲🇾 While exploring Penang Island, I randomly came across Viva Local Food Heaven, a local food court filled with amazing food vendors and people from different parts of the world. I met vendors and workers from China, Syria, India and Bangladesh, all sharing their own stories while working and living in Penang. Then I discovered one of Penang's famous local snacks — Apom. 🥞🇲🇾 At the shop, I met a Bangladeshi man who had been working there for 15 years. What started as a simple food stop turned into a small conversation that made the experience much more meaningful. My bill was only RM5. But after talking to him and hearing about his long journey working there, I decided to give him an extra RM5. So instead of paying RM5, I gave him RM10. ❤️ It wasn't about the amount. It was simply a small gesture of appreciation for someone who has spent 15 years working in the same place and contributing to the local food culture of Penang.
