Brasil | Pink Martini

Pink Martini is on tour! Tickets are on sale now at pinkmartini.com/tour! Excerpted from Pink Martini's October 8, 2025 concert at the picturesque Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, Massachusetts, this song is always a highlight of the night! Featuring Storm Large, Ari Shapiro, Jimmie Herrod, and Edna Vazquez on vocals, "Brasil" is the classic Pink Martini concert encore. The song, written by Ary Barroso in 1939, has closed nearly every concert the band has ever performed, and fans of the band know that its opening notes are the cue to start a conga line through the concert hall or arena. Pink Martini's studio version of the song first appeared on the band's debut album "Sympathique." LYRICS Brasil - where hearts were entertaining June We stood beneath an amber moon And softly murmured “someday soon” We kissed and clung together Then tomorrow was another day The morning found us miles away With still a million things to say And now when twilight dims the skies above Recalling thrills of our love There’s one thing I am certain of Return, I will, to old Brasil FIND PINK MARTINI ONLINE: Official Website: http://pinkmartini.com/ Instagram:   / pinkmartini   Facebook:   / pinkmartini   Spotify: https://bit.ly/spotifyPM Apple Music: https://bit.ly/pinkMartini SoundCloud:   / heinzrecords   bandcamp: https://pinkmartini.bandcamp.com/ Pink Martini Fan Club:   / pinkmartini   The Official Pink Martini Store: http://store.pinkmartini.com/ #pinkmartini #stormlarge #brasil #encore #bigband #bigbandmusic #jazz
