Still awake and still working on it? If you fell asleep fine and then woke at two or three, and lying there turned into work — the thought arrives, you turn it over, you put it down, and it comes back slightly changed — this 90-minute session is for you. Tonight we're not going to solve anything. Your mind isn't doing this to torment you. It's doing its job. It has something unfinished, and it has no way of knowing that three in the morning is the wrong time to finish it. So it keeps bringing it back, hoping that this time you'll deal with it. So tonight, one sentence: That one goes on tomorrow's list. Not a trick to make the thought disappear. Just a place to put it that isn't now. 🔕 ABOUT THE ADS YouTube places them on this video, not me — and I earn nothing from them. Until a channel reaches 1,000 subscribers, there's no way to switch them off. I know how badly an ad lands at three in the morning. Subscribing isn't a favour to me. It moves that date closer, and the day this channel crosses the line, mid-roll ads come off these sessions for good. ❤️ If Zen Cats Sleep makes your nights a little easier, you can also support future videos here: https://buymeacoffee.com/zencatsleep This approach is called constructive worry. It comes from cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), and it works for a simple reason: a thought stops coming back when it has somewhere to go. It does not ask you to relax. It does not ask you to stop thinking. It does not ask you to fall asleep. Telling a mind not to think about something is still thinking about it, so we're not going to try that. There's nothing to count, nothing to picture, and nothing you'll be asked to remember in the morning. If a thought comes back thirty seconds later, that isn't failure. That's what minds do. You'll simply say the sentence again, and you never run out of it. Some thoughts aren't problems at all. They're just loud. Those go on the list too — the list doesn't check whether a thought is important. The guided session gradually slows down, with fewer instructions and longer pauses. After about 11 minutes the narration ends, and soft sleep music with gentle cosmic ambience continues for the rest of the 90-minute video. You don't need to watch the screen. Just set your phone aside and listen.
