Gordon Parsons - Jody. (1980)

Gordon Parsons re recorded the song "Jody" for his album "The Old GP", released on Selection Records (PRL 021) in 1980. He had previously recorded the song on a 45 rpm single in 1968 on the Columbia label (DO - 8452). The song's author was incorrectly credited to W.S.Stevenson and Swick. The actual writer of the song was E.W.Stokes, being first recorded by Idaho "Tiny" Stoker in 1951 as "Judy". Various other artists have covered the song as "Judy", "Jodie" or "Jody".
