Train consist: Calgary Transit 2007 Siemens SD160 Series 7 set 2241-2256-2265. This crossing is located on the Calgary Transit CTrain Blue Line. Horn setting: Quiet zone. Gateless signal on the far left: A Safetran base and 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE/Harmon LEDs. Gated signal on the near left: A Safetran base, a Safetran gate mechanism with Alstom-Aurora LED gate lights, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE/Harmon LEDs and a high tone Safetran Type 3 electronic bell. Gateless signal on the far right: A Safetran base, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE/Harmon LEDs and a high tone Safetran Type 3 electronic bell. Cantilever on the near right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE/Harmon LEDs. Gated signal on the near right: A Safetran base, a Safetran gate mechanism with Alstom-Aurora LED gate lights and 1 pair of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE/Harmon LEDs. After filming the westbound Blue Line CTrain at one of the pedestrian crossings at the Saddletowne Station, I headed over to this crossing to get the next train. After waiting for a bit over 5 minutes, here we see a northeast bound Blue Line CTrain making its final leg of the journey with a 3-car unrefurbished Siemens SD160 Series 7 consist. This crossing is certainly nice. These signals were installed around 2012 when the Blue Line was extended further northeast to its current terminus, Saddletowne. The signals are pure late Safetran equipment, aside from the LED inserts and gate lights. The crossing also features a pair of high tone Safetran Type 3 E-Bells, which is nice to have.
