A Gift From Mum, Carved in Wood | Arbortech Tools

Great to have renowned chainsaw carver and Aussie maker Shane Christensen in the Arbortech studio! A massive name in the carving space, Shane is known for larger-than-life masterpieces deeply inspired by Australian nature. For this project, he recreated a cockatoo feather given to him by his mum, using a beautiful slab of locally sourced Tuart wood. Keeping his setup incredibly simple, he tackled the entire piece with just the Mini Grinder MG1000 and TURBOPlane attached to the Power Carving Unit. It’s always amazing to watch a master at work.
