I took a day trip from Benidorm to Altea, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain - known for its whitewashed buildings, cobbled streets, and stunning Mediterranean views. Everything was going perfectly… until the entire town lost power. From tram rides from Benidorm, exploring Altea's charming old town, climbing to the famous church at the top, and hunting for a bite to eat - to being caught in a blackout with no mobile signal, no working ATMs, and hardly any cash - this turned into one of the most unexpected travel experiences I’ve had!
