Pepper Pt. 1 - Crate Training Tips and Tricks, How to Create True Relaxation/Comfort in the Crate

The first part to Pepper's day at school! Today, I dragged out a crate for Pepper to start working on some crate training. I did take off the door entirely to really show that entry and exiting of the crate is entirely her choice, and involves no pressure at all. In the beginning, she is very skeptical as she has never seen this crate before and it's a bit more closed off than the typical wire crate. By simply doing find-its and creating an in-out pattern game to build positive feelings about entering and exiting the crate, which she was very suspicious of until the very end as her comfort truly started to improve she was able to take some yummy tidbits from inside the crate. Next week, I expect the crate won't be nearly as spooky!
