Eastlight Stories Series Trailer

Eastlight Stories has been created in memory of Hattie Llewelyn-Davies, who was Eastlight’s Chair until she passed away suddenly in May 2026. Hattie was due to stand down from her role this autumn, at the end of her maximum term with Eastlight. As her legacy project, she wanted Eastlight to produce a “social history of Eastlight residents’ lives” – capturing their experiences, where they have come from and what home has made possible for them. Hattie cared deeply about resident voice and lived experience. She believed that residents should be at the heart of decision-making and that understanding people’s experiences was essential to creating better services and stronger communities. This series fulfils her wish. Through five films and five podcast conversations, residents share their stories in their own words – creating a lasting record of the people and communities that make up Eastlight. We dedicate Eastlight Stories to Hattie’s memory, and to her enduring belief in the power of residents’ voices.
