Elections are not won or lost on election day alone. They are shaped long before, by how prepared our institutions are. In Episode 2 of the Count Me In Podcast, we ask a direct question: are we ready? We examine four institutions that determine whether an election is credible: INEC and the machinery of election administration, the judiciary and the election tribunal system, the security agencies tasked with protecting voters and polling units, and the political parties whose internal processes decide who appears on the ballot in the first place. We draw on lessons from the Osun State 2026 governorship election, where our EveryVotes observers recorded BVAS authentication failures, late polling unit openings and an estimated state turnout of 43.4%.
