I Found a Jungle Walk Right in the Middle of Cairns

Welcome back to Without a Plan. This time I’m staying close to home and exploring a couple of Cairns’ best-known outdoor spots — taking on the Yellow Arrow walking track before having a wander through the Cairns Botanic Gardens. No real itinerary as usual. Just heading out, walking the track, taking in the rainforest and views, talking about whatever comes to mind and seeing where I end up. One of the things I love about Cairns is just how quickly you can go from the city into proper tropical rainforest — and the Yellow Arrow is a pretty good example of that. After surviving the walk 😂, I head over to the Botanic Gardens for a look around and discover another side of Cairns that you could easily miss if you only stuck to the usual tourist spots. Rainforest, gardens, a decent walk and plenty of wandering around without really knowing what I’m doing.
