In ..sitzt ayne klayne kind.der rebeler...mayn tayer kind. Evgeniia Izrailovna Shekhovich, born 1919 in Sambor, recorded in Drohobych, Ukraine on 7 June 2007 by Dov-Ber Kerler, Moisei Lemster for AHEYM (tape MDV 432, 8:37–12:40). The whole interview, at this moment, on Indiana University's Media Collections Online: https://media.dlib.indiana.edu/media_... The catalogue's description of this part of the tape: The first part of the tape is a continuation of a formal interview with Evgeniia Izrailovna Shekhovich. Shekhovich talks about religious customs and holiday celebration. She then sings a Yiddish Sabbath song. Shekhovich then talks about daughter, before she sings a couple of Yiddish song she learned from her husband. The first song includes a little girl and the second one deals with poverty and dreaming. AHEYM — the Archives of Historical and Ethnographic Yiddish Memories (Indiana University Bloomington) — holds Yiddish-language interviews with Jews of Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, recorded in the 2000s by Dov-Ber Kerler, Jeffrey Veidlinger and their colleagues. This clip is an excerpt from one interview; the song's title is its opening words as noted in the project's song index, and the end of the clip is approximate. The recording is in copyright; it is published by the AHEYM project, and any other use needs the project's permission (Prof. Dov-Ber Kerler, Indiana University).
