You don’t have to do it alone. ❤️
The postnatal period can be beautiful, but it can also bring physical exhaustion, emotional challenges, uncertainty and feelings of being overwhelmed. This is why *postnatal support* is so important for new mums, babies and the whole family.
In this video, I explain why support after childbirth matters and how the right *postnatal care and support* can help new parents feel more confident, reassured and supported during those early weeks and months of parenthood.
As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and Health Visitor, I understand how valuable emotional support, practical help and professional guidance can be during the postnatal journey.
Whether you are a first-time mum, an expectant parent, or supporting someone who has recently given birth, this video will help you understand why asking for help is an important part of postnatal wellbeing and recovery.
In this video, we explore:
• Why emotional support matters after childbirth
• The importance of practical help during the early postnatal period
• How support can promote maternal wellbeing and recovery
• Recognising when you are feeling overwhelmed
• Why new parents should not feel pressured to do everything alone
• How family, friends and healthcare professionals can support new parents
• The importance of creating a nurturing environment for both mother and baby
Remember, you do not have to be perfect, and you do not have to do everything yourself. Accepting support is a strength, not a weakness. ❤️
