Jake Thistle -- I Forgive It All (Tom Petty/Mudcrutch cover)

Acoustic Sunday! Sadly, on this day in 2017, we lost Tom Petty...who changed my life (among many lives) dramatically for the better with his music. I always considered him a great teacher, whether he knew it or not. Since I was home for gigs this weekend, I wanted to do something different here for him this year. This is something from his work on the underrated Mudcrutch albums-- I Forgive It All. I'm looking forward to playing with Tom Leadon in Tom's honor for Tom Petty Weekend in Gainesville in a couple of weeks. That's going to be a great weekend of music; if you can get there, I highly recommend it. Hope you like the solo acoustic take on this song. And keep an eye out later as I want to do something else from the Rutgers piano in his honor.....
