‘la folia reimagined’ is a piece that was premiered at the Westminster School’s Women Composers’ concert in 2026. It was initially inspired by the baroque chord progression but has grown with my more 21st century style and has taken on a Max Richter-esque name. ‘Pianic Phrases’ was premiered and recorded at the Royal Academy of Music in 2025. Its name is a made up word, created by myself, meaning characteristic of the piano’. ‘The Fallen Solider and The Spirit’ is one of my earliest pieces: started in early 2023 and finished in 2024. It tells the story of a solider who doesn’t come back from war (the trumpet) and his family being consoled by a spirit (depicted by the interplay between the flute and clarinet). ‘Somewhere Beyond Eden Rock’ is a piece I wrote with the guidance of Louise Drewett in 2024 and was premiered at the Academy in 2025. It is a tone poem inspired by Charles Causley’s ‘Eden Rock’ where I explore themes of uncertainty, nostalgia, and vulnerability.
