These are the darkest places on Earth that most tourists never see. Behind glass towers, five-star hotels and famous cities, millions of people live, work and raise children in slums built on garbage, sewage, burning ground and floodwater. In this 4K documentary we go inside the world's hidden hells – from Cité Soleil in Haiti and Cairo's Garbage City to Dharavi in Mumbai, Makoko floating over the Lagos lagoon and the Bantar Gebang landfill in Indonesia – to see how people survive there. From Kibera and Mukuru in Nairobi to Orangi Town in Karachi, Korail in Dhaka, La Rinconada – the highest town on Earth – and Skid Row and Kensington in the United States, this is the side of the world that never appears in travel guides. ▶ Watch next – URBAN HELLS | Life in the Most Disgusting Places on Earth:    • URBAN HELLS | Life in the Most Disgusting ...   ▶ TOXIC HELLS | Life in the Most Poisoned Places on Earth:    • TOXIC HELLS | Life in the Most Poisoned Pl...   ▶ MOST CROWDED Places Where People Somehow Live:    • MOST CROWDED Places Where People Somehow L...   CHAPTERS 0:00 The Darkest Places Tourists Never See 1:18 Cité Soleil, Haiti 3:37 Manshiyat Naser (Garbage City), Cairo 6:02 Dharavi, Mumbai 8:31 Dandora Dumpsite, Nairobi 11:14 Makoko Floating Slum, Lagos 13:19 Bantar Gebang Landfill, Indonesia 15:55 Kibera, Nairobi 18:04 Tondo, Manila 20:54 Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro 23:08 Agbogbloshie E-Waste Dump, Ghana 25:09 Payatas, Quezon City 27:34 Petare, Caracas 29:45 Jharia Coal Fires, India 31:40 Khayelitsha, Cape Town 34:05 Baseco Compound, Manila 36:24 Mukuru, Nairobi 38:26 Orangi Town, Karachi 40:23 Korail, Dhaka 43:25 La Rinconada, Peru 45:56 Kroo Bay, Freetown 48:10 Susan's Bay, Freetown 50:11 Ajegunle, Lagos 52:13 Jalousie, Haiti 54:08 Skid Row, Los Angeles (USA) 56:17 Sham Shui Po Cage Homes, Hong Kong 58:32 Kensington, Philadelphia (USA) 60:27 Monster Building, Hong Kong Which of these places shocked you the most?
