Greta Valley Trail Ride, Main Loop, The Willows, 19-01-2025

First ride of the year was only a 50 minute drive north, an awesome summers day that wasn't to hot. Great track over 5 farms, this my second lap of three grass was long and slippery on the first lap still a bit slick in places on this lap. Bike had a good bit of maintenance just before Christmas, new front and rear brake pads, repacked the muffler, regreased the linkage and swingarm bearings, new top and bottom shock bearings also had the forks serviced bushes and seals, new rear tyre. 02:13 I wonder did Santa bring the wee fella a new bike for Christmas. 10:26 On my first lap I went down to the right, front wheel found a hole in the bog wasn't going too fast stopped dead in my tracks, did a scorpion over the bars. 14:17 This fella to the right didn't look to good Westpac rescue chopper came out pretty sure it was to pick him up. 15:17 This big girl spat some good sized chunks of soil out when matey gave her a fist full of throttle. 17:30 Getting passed by a Sherco from Marlborough motorcycles. 19:27 I'd say there would have been a few less skilled riders getting into difficulties here. 32:56 Look how green it is usually these paddocks would be brown this time of year, looks awesome. 36:59 These tracks were smooth very few ruts and next to none if any loose rocks. 44:27 Got a bit dusty through here, I'm also on the wrong side of the track.
