Jan Willem Mensink (Vocals) and Ben Heersping (Drums) founded the very first punk band in the East of the Netherlands. This local movement was so vibrant that it even led to a unique encounter and collaboration with the legendary American beatnik poet Allen Ginsberg during his time in the Netherlands. Jan Willem has remained a fierce defender of original music ever since, strictly refusing the commercial tribute-band culture. • The Ultra-Movement & European Tours (Ben Heersping): In the early 1980s, drummer Ben became heavily involved in the famous Dutch Ultra-movement, a post-punk wave closely tied to the influential music magazine Vinyl. As a professional drummer, Ben toured all over Europe—playing major stages like Denmark's Roskilde Festival and touring through the former Yugoslavia. Between 1989 and 1992, he also achieved commercial success as the drummer for the Deventer-based pop-rock band Blue Guitars, releasing multiple albums with them. • The Diverse Rock & Pop Routes (Martijn Koerselman): Bassist Martijn joined the ranks later but brought a massive wealth of stage experience. He previously played in the band Krimson, which landed a high-profile tour supporting British jazz-funk icons Level 42. Martijn’s diverse musical journey also includes stints in bands like Chuckle, Born, and De Zeute Dropkes, as well as anchoring the rhythm section for the Thin Lizzy tribute project Emerald from 2013 to 2017. • The Sonic Guitar Wall (Joop Jansen & Timothy Schipper): Guitarists Joop and Timothy spent years sharpening their skills in the alternative underground scene. Rooted in seventies garage rock and spacey psychedelia, they joined forces with the veterans to complete the band's signature sound. Joop delivers the sharp, driving punk riffs, while Timothy layers the music with distorted textures and psychedelic special effects.
