A breathtaking scenic road trip along the wild west coast of Rhodes, Greece — from Monolithos Castle down to the hidden cove of Kopria Beach 🇬🇷🚗
Take the passenger seat for an immersive, no-talking POV drive across some of Rhodes' most dramatic historical and natural landscapes. This journey starts high on the monolithic rock of Monolithos Castle, winds through the honey-scented mountain village of Siana, descends past the striking rock walls of Sideritis (Jacob's) Canyon, pauses at sweeping panorama viewpoints over the Aegean Sea, crosses the traditional hilltop village of Kritinia, and finally drops down to the secluded pebble paradise of Kopria Beach.
Along this winding route, we pass through six unforgettable stops, each with its own unique character:
• Monolithos Castle: Perched 236 meters above the sea on a solitary rock, this 15th-century Knights of St. John fortress was never conquered by force and offers some of the most dramatic views in the Dodecanese.
• Siana: Rhodes' famous "honey and souma village," clinging to the cliffs of Mount Akramytis, renowned across the Aegean for fragrant wild thyme honey and traditional grape spirits.
• Sideritis (Jacob's) Canyon: One of Rhodes' most spectacular natural gorges, carved between Embonas and Siana, with sheer limestone walls and untouched Mediterranean wilderness.
• Panorama Viewpoint: A high coastal overlook on the west coast road, offering sweeping vistas of the endless blue Aegean and the tiny island of Chalki (Halki) on the horizon.
• Kritinia: A beautifully preserved traditional village crowned by a 15th-century Venetian castle ruin, narrow stone alleys, a folklore museum, and 16th-century frescoes in the Agios Ioannis church.
• Kopria Beach: A hidden gem just 500 meters before Kamiros Skala — a small, sheltered pebble cove with crystal-clear turquoise waters, framed by tall rocky cliffs and rarely crowded.
There is no music and no talking — just the natural ambient sounds of mountain and coastal tarmac, pine breezes, and the engine humming through sweeping curves. Captured with the Insta360 X5 for an ultra-smooth, wide-angle cinematic perspective.
