Classic Style: the writing style that every student should know

Like accents, everybody has a writing style. That you don't notice your accent doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's possible to learn a new accent and it's possible to learn a new writing style. The classic style is useful for students because of how it treats audiences, authors and arguments. In this longer video, I draw on Thomas and Turner's book 'Clear and Simple as the Truth' and describe how classical style can help students think about who they are writing for.
