Finding a Hidden Glacier Lake to Swim In | Day 4

Day4. We woke up at 7 AM deep in Norway’s highest mountain area, completely remote with no people, no signal and no Wi-Fi. The first thing we saw were sheep surrounding the van and licking salt off the wheels. After a quick morning start, we drove even deeper into the mountains to reach a sketchy dead-end road we had avoided the night before. From there, we hiked higher, explored strange rock formations, watched the clouds roll in around us and ended up literally sitting above the clouds while flying the drone from the edge of the mountain. But the main goal of the day was still ahead — finding a hidden glacier lake to swim in. We found a small trail on a hiking app, parked the van and hiked around 6 km up toward the glacier. After finally reaching the lake, surrounded by ice and freshly melted glacier water, I went in for an ice-cold swim. We had lunch beside the glacier, flew the drone and then started the long hike back down before continuing our journey further north through Norway.
