🧠 Why do some children grow up feeling like they’re never good enough? “Get better grades.” “Go to a good school.” “Build a successful career.” “Make us proud.” For many parents, expectations come from love, hope, protection, or fear about their child’s future. But when expectations become constant, a child may gradually interpret them in a very different way: “If I succeed, I’m worthy. If I fail, I’ve disappointed them.” In this video, we explore WHY this can happen — how expectations, comparison, pressure, fear of failure, and repeated need for approval can sometimes make a child’s sense of self-worth increasingly dependent on achievement. Then comes HOW. Not by simply rejecting parents or ignoring their advice, but by learning to separate their fears from your values, define your own goals, communicate clearly, set healthy boundaries, allow yourself to make mistakes, and build a sense of self-worth beyond results. Because success can be part of a good life. But it should not be the price of feeling worthy. You are more than the results you produce. Understand Why.
