For years, parents were told to wait. No eggs until age two. No peanuts until age three. Keep the risky foods away, and your child will be safer. It sounded sensible. And it turned out to be wrong. Today the advice has turned around completely, and many parents and grandparents have not heard. So if the idea of giving peanut butter to a six month old makes you nervous, you are not alone. In this video, we are going to look at why early introduction is now recommended, which babies should see their doctor first, how to offer peanut, egg, and other allergens safely, and the signs of an allergic reaction.
