Published by Lorenz Corporation
Jillian Gardner, organ
1961 Schantz Organ at Huntsville First United Methodist Church, Huntsville, Alabama
Jason D. Payne is a native of Decatur, Georgia, and a graduate of Bob Jones University, where he received his organ training under Dr. Ed Dunbar. He has also studied with Dr. Albert L. Travis, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Organ at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. A dedicated church musician, Payne has served as organist at First Baptist Church of Atlanta, First Baptist Church of Snellville, and Briarlake Baptist Church, and currently serves at Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He is a published composer with the Lorenz Corporation, where his collections — including Dynamic Hymn Introductions for Organ — have been warmly received by church organists across the country. This Postlude on "St. Denio" is based on the beloved Welsh tune most familiar as the setting for "Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise" — a majestic hymn of praise that lends itself beautifully to a festive and joyful organ postlude.
Jillian Gardner serves as Director of Music Ministries and Organist at Huntsville First United Methodist Church, and is the Co-Founder and Collaborative Artist of the Huntsville Sacred Chorale. She performs regularly at major venues across the United States and internationally.
