The Avenging Shadow (A Cowboy Ballad)

Tools: Suno; ChatGPT The Avenging Shadow was once a legendary bounty hunter who began walking the dangerous roads of the frontier at only seventeen years old. He was never a perfect man. Throughout his life, he made mistakes, crossed lines and left more than a few enemies behind. But beneath everything remained one principle he refused to abandon: Justice. His reputation spread from town to town, helped by an extraordinary inherited ability known as The Eye of the Gunslinger. Once his eyes settled on a target, his bullet would follow. Legend says he was the only person alive capable of going head to head with the Lightning Dove herself. Then, eventually, he found something more important than reputation, money or the next bounty: Love. And he lay down his guns for good. But the past did not forget him. Years later, old enemies finally found him and came not only for the gunslinger, but for his family as well. Knowing what was coming, he refused to risk their lives. He sent his wife and child far away, hoping that one day he would be able to find them again. Then he picked up his revolvers one final time. The Avenging Shadow faced the men who had come for him and killed many of them. But even legends can fall. He did not survive the night... but his family did. The years passed and the man became legend, and the legend slowly faded... but his skill did not. In current times his only living descendant, Cassandra Aguilar, works at a bar to support herself and afford her studies not knowing of the skill that lies in her bloodline. The Avenging Shadow may be gone, but his skill, The Eye of the Gunslinger is still alive. ------------------------------------------------- Alexander is one of the main characters of the story, but The Avenging Shadow was the first character I ever came up with. I wanted to tell his story, and who knows? Maybe someday Cassandra—or even The Avenging Shadow himself—may cross paths with Alexander.
