Study and Work in Oulu: Ben Tardif's Journey with Kärpät

Ben Tardif is a 25-year-old Canadian playing for the Kärpät ice hockey team in Finland’s top professional hockey league. Ben and his wife moved to Oulu last summer, and their first impression was fantastic. The endless daylight was a pleasant surprise, and they enjoyed exploring the city without the sun setting too early. Oulu may not be a huge city, but it has everything you need within walking distance, Ben says. “One of the best things about living in Oulu is the safety.
