I love it's world building. I love it's characters. I love how the women in this are not 1 dimensional cardboard cutouts. Most importantly tho, I love the adventure that we are invited on. Mist covers the world. Deadly creatures roam within it's depths. Gray towers, the only sign of life, penetrate the mist. These man-made structures must race ever upward, towards the stars, lest they be consumed. While the mist poses danger to life, it also facilitates it. Mist Divers bring resources from the floors below for survival and upward expansion, perpetuating the cycle. Why must we seek what's below? Why is it's expansion so great? Why is the mist so generous? Why does it want me down there? Why is it toying with me? Why is Alister so cute? Why do I want to go? Why...? Why?? ...
