Doom 3[d] is a first-person shooter with survival horror elements, developed by id Software and published by Activision for Windows on August 3, 2004, in the United States; it was released internationally on August 13 of the same year. In Russia, the game was localized and published by 1C. Later in 2004, a Linux version was released, followed by a Mac OS X port by Aspyr in 2005, and an Xbox version developed by Vicarious Visions.
