The world championships is this weekend and its crunch time. Players are stressing to the max - some of them don't even have a team yet! Others do have a team or a core they like but are struggling to round out their squad. These are Pokemon that are not gonna necessarily break the meta and they’re definitely going to need some support, but placed on the right team, they can help you win a game (better yet, win a tournament). A lot of these options are what someone might place in the C tier in a tier list, but C tier doesn’t mean these are bad Pokemon. They’re just really good at doing 1 or 2 things only on a specific squad. Lets say you have a core of 4-5 mons already and need something to patchup a specific matchup, this is a Pokemon that you bring ONLY for that matchup but otherwise you’re not going to use it and that’s fine. This is what we mean by knowing your role. It is similar to competitive sports.
