🏃‍♂️ TCS Sydney Marathon 2026 🇦🇺 | More Than 40,000 Runners Take Over Sydney! What an incredible morning in Sydney! More than 40,000 runners and wheelchair athletes from over 140 countries took part in the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon, tackling the 42.195 km course from North Sydney, across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and through the streets of Sydney before finishing at the spectacular Sydney Opera House. 🌉🏃‍♀️🇦🇺 This was Sydney’s second year as an Abbott World Marathon Major, bringing some of the world’s greatest marathon runners together with tens of thousands of everyday runners. 🏆 Ethiopia’s Addisu Gobena won the men’s marathon in an incredible 2:04:42, setting a new Sydney course record. 🏆 Kenya’s Peres Jepchirchir won the women’s race in 2:18:31. 🇦🇺 Andy Buchanan was the first Australian man home in 2:10:14, while Ellie Pashley was the first Australian woman, finishing in 2:28:27. ♿ American Daniel Romanchuk won the men’s wheelchair race in 1:26:50, while Switzerland’s Manuela Schär won the women’s wheelchair race in 1:42:04.
