In 2016, India had several telecom operators, including Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Aircel, Tata Docomo and Telenor. Today, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel dominate the market. So how did Jio become India's largest telecom operator while so many competitors disappeared? The answer goes far beyond free internet and cheap calls. When Mukesh Ambani launched Reliance Jio in September 2016, mobile data was expensive, voice calling was a major revenue source for telecom companies, and millions of Indians were still disconnected from the internet. Jio changed that with an aggressive business strategy built around 4G technology, VoLTE, spectrum investments, infrastructure expansion and affordable data. But technology and pricing were only part of the story. In this video, we explore six major factors behind Jio's rise, from the acquisition of Infotel Broadband and changes in telecom licensing to infrastructure costs, interconnection charges and the Supreme Court's AGR verdict that added financial pressure to established operators. We also explain how Jio transformed India's digital economy, helped accelerate mobile internet adoption, and built a business model capable of generating significant profits despite low data prices. And with Jio now investing heavily in 5G, we examine how the company is positioning itself for the next phase of India's telecom industry. *Was Jio's success simply about offering free data, or was it one of India's biggest business and technology strategies?* Watch the full video to find out. #RelianceJio #MukeshAmbani #TelecomIndustry #BusinessStrategy #AngelOne
