REVIVAL | A White Piano in the Kyiv Metro Tunnel

For the first time in the 65-year history of the Kyiv Metro, a white grand piano was placed on the rails of an active tunnel — where silence, vibration, and history meet. During the war, the metro became much more than transportation. It turned into a refuge, a sanctuary, a heartbeat of the city, where millions found shelter and hope during attacks. Now, the same tunnels that once echoed with fear resound with music — the composition “REVIVAL” by Evgeny Khmara, performed together with the Symphony Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, conducted by Dmytro Antoniuk. This is more than a performance. It is a prayer in sound. A reminder that light can live even underground.
