How Do You Build a TCG Set From Scratch?

Last week I started building Tide TCG. Now I need to figure out what actually goes into its first set. In this video, I’m putting together the structure for Set One — deciding how many cards it needs, how those cards should be divided between Creatures, Spells, Gear, Relics, and Wardens, which species need enough support to become real strategies, and what different jobs the cards in a TCG set actually need to perform. The current plan for Set One is: 125 total cards 80 Creatures 20 Spells 10 Gear 10 Relics 5 Wardens I’m also revealing three new Tide cards: Brightlock Runner Lastlight Skitterer Deepstone Monstrosity This is only the beginning of filling those 125 spaces. The next major goal is getting enough cards together to build two real 40-card decks and actually start testing whether these ideas work against each other.
